Description :
Lined t-shirt with an Aztec hieroglyph print, when you visit ruins in South America, you will see them everywhere! Especially in the ruins of Tikal in Guatemala.
Did you know ?
The Aztecs, a civilization hundreds of years old and originally from present-day Mexico, traveled through many countries, including Guatemala. While this civilization is known for its floating gardens, chocolates and human sacrifices, we often forget to mention that the Aztecs were very cultured.
All children were also obliged to go to school, whether they were “nobles” or “peasants”. They studied astrology, mathematics, history, military strategies and even practiced a sport called "Nàhuatl". This sport was a ball game that strongly resembled our current volleyball. The goal was to return the ball to the opposing side without it touching the ground. But that's not to mention that this ball was made of rubber and weighed more than 3kg!
Everything we know about these Native American people comes straight to us... from them! Thanks to writings made up of drawings and glyphs that have survived the centuries, we can now know everything there is to know about them.
This style of writing inspired the J&JOY team to create this t-shirt.
